Ryan has a passion for communicating and promoting a Christ-honoring Biblical worldview to all age groups. He seeks to promote family units as a natural bedrock for relational and spiritual development.
Ryan grew up in Clarkston, MI and has maintained connections with Waypoint since 2000 but joined staff in early 2019. He previously served as a pastor in Iowa. Ryan completed a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies through Moody Bible Institute and his graduate degree at Calvary Theological Seminary. Outside of Waypoint, Ryan continues to direct a social work program that provides advocacy services to thousands of clients throughout the tri-county area and beyond.
He and his wife Kristin have three children. In his free time Ryan enjoys camping with family and friends, attempting DIY projects, and riding anything with an engine that is loud and goes fast.
